New Year and New Changes

It’s not lost on me that this site would be a great tool for people to use with their New Year’s resolutions.

At the same time, I also know that rushing and releasing something that’s trash would be detrimental to both myself and others looking to change… And well, that’s just not a disservice I’m willing to make.

I still have so much to do, and I haven’t even collected stories or gathered people to showcase their own stories yet. Which I believe will become the heart of this site, and a big motivator for others to start.

So first off, I want to give my gratitude for those of you having patience while I work diligently on this site, for those of you willing and ready to share your stories soon, and those of you whom have showed interest in being part of this community.

Thank you.

As for my own New Year’s resolutions, I have several I’m working toward.

The development of this site and community is a large goal that I’m committed to. Helping people has always been a passion for me, and it’s a way I can give back to the many people who have shown up and been there for me.

I have been studying marketing and advertising as a career, since my last job ended. Turning that thirst for knowledge into a career is another goal I work towards everyday. I know that I cannot continue to help others if I cannot first help myself, and that gives me another reason to keep learning and fighting for what I want.

My last resolution is one of health. There’s been a big downward shift in my activity level since my last job ended. Along with some unhealthy eating habits, this has caused some mild weight gain, and also a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

FIRST, I understand that it’s only a label, and doesn’t define who I am. But that also doesn’t mean I can sit idly by and ignore that a problem even exists. So the management of my weight and diabetes is my third goal for this year.

Overall I am excited for what the year brings and for all the possibilities of growth and development that will come with it. I can’t wait to see the changes that this year will bring, not only in myself, but all of the changes that all of you will make too.

I know it won’t always be easy, but I also know it will be worth it.

What are your New Year’s resolutions, and is there anything you are excited about this year?
